Almost Monday - Live at House of Blues - Dallas, Texas

Photos by Kylie Green, Review by Ryan Renger

Pop-Rock trio Almost Monday brought their only wanna dance tour to House of Blues in Dallas, Texas, last night, and the show was incredible! Almost Monday is an energetic young band from San Diego, California, making waves with their recent releases and stunning stage presence. The band, consisting of vocalist Dawson Daughtery, bassist Luke Fabry, and guitarist Cole Clisby, really know how to get the crowd going, starting their set off with new single only wanna dance, and dance they did. The lively two-and-a-half-minute track brought everyone in the venue off their feet, jumping the entire time without a care in the world. The set for the night was full of hits, with everything from unreleased music to a cover of The Romantic’s What I Like About You. Almost Monday had a grip on the crowd through the entire show; there wasn’t a moment of silence from the audience at any point! A great moment from the night was Daughtery taking the phone from one lucky fan and recording the band playing sunburn on stage. That fan surely has one hell of a story to tell with the evidence to back it up. The night ended with the crowd singing the lyrics to cough drops so loud and proud that there might just be a shortage of cough drops in Dallas after the show. All and all, it was a magical night that everyone should experience for themselves, and there is still time. Almost Monday still has a couple of dates left on their tour before ending in Atlanta on Friday the 24th. If you don’t get a chance to check Almost Monday out on this tour, catching them on their next run should be a priority!
